Downtown Storm Relief Project
DCL Siemens Engineering Ltd. provided engineering services for the project which was installed to provide drainage from the Downtown core. This area experienced significant flooding and damage to commercial properties during larger rainfall events.
Engineering works involved design and resident engineering services for the construction of downtown trunk sewers, storm pond (wet) construction and surface rehabilitation. Constructing the trunk sewer involved crossing the CNR tracks and special permission to open cut these were obtained. Existing storm pumping stations were removed. The project costs of this installation were $1.4million.
