DCL Siemens is a mid-sized employee-owned engineering firm. Our client list is extensive and includes cities and towns, counties and municipal districts, First Nations and private entities throughout western Canada.

We have complete engineering services in-house using state-of-the-art technology; from preliminary surveys and studies, to design and autoCadd drafting, tendering services, construction layout and resident inspection, general engineering during construction, and project management services complete with funding acquisition, system commissioning, record drawing preparation and dispute resolution. Advisory services are also available to assist our clients on non-project related issues.

We are particularly proud of our Project Management and Advisory Services, which have been instrumental in developing Tangible Capital Asset (TCA) plans, long-term sustainable infrastructure renewal programs,securing federal/provincial funding and ensuring successful delivery of all projects.

Works undertaken include all aspects related to municipal infrastructure: water, wastewater and transportation and roadways. Water works include sourcing, transmission, raw water storage and pre-treatment, treatment, and distribution complete with system modelling and testing, and regionalization. Wastewater includes collection, liftstation pumping, storage, treatment and disposal. Transportation and Roadway works include assessments, data collection, and designs. All works are undertaken in accordance with legislated municipal, provincial or federal requirements using Best Management Practices (BMP).

More recent initiatives have included works on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Tangible Capital Assets (TCA) compilation, Municipal Infrastructure Management Systems (MIMS), infrastructure data collection via field GPS surveys and digital recordings using van mounted video cameras and digital road rating systems (ASTM E950) complete with GIS ties. Compiled works are used to assess infrastructure status, determine priority upgrades, keep upgrade records, maintain asset values and in the overall, provide full asset management services for our customers.

We also work with other recognized professionals when necessary to assist us with geotechnical and testing services, urban and rural planning, and hydrogeological works for water sourcing.
